Between our beautiful Amish countryside, the impressive Elkhart County 4-H Fair and our title as RV Capital of the World, it is no wonder that camping has a special meaning in our community.

ADEC is thrilled to be able to celebrate Michiana’s legacy of RVs and camping by raffling off a custom Airstream Sport travel trailer courtesy of Thor Industries. Proceeds from the raffle will go to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead lives full of choice and possibility.

Beginning this fall, ADEC will release 1,952 raffle tickets for a chance to win a brand new Aistream Sport, valued at over $51,000. Why 1,952? It represents the year that ADEC was founded — the year that a group of brave families came together and decided their children deserved to be a part of the community.

For just $100, you can purchase a ticket for a 1:1,952 chance of winning an awesome towable.

Guests at ADEC’s Annual Celebration (save the date for Oct. 26) will get first dibs on tickets, with the rest going for sale to the general public on Nov. 1.

But of course, it would not be an ADEC contest without some funky Art by ADEC. Our clients will be painting a whimsical design on the Airstream before the raffle, and we need your help to decide which design to choose. Vote on Facebook by using the corresponding reaction on the post below, or leave a comment on this blog post with your top pick. Cast your vote before 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The winner of the raffle will be announced the week before The ADEC Ball — an evening of dancing, friendship and fun at the RV Hall of Fame — on April 20, 2018.

Hi, Bettina! Tickets will go on sale at our Annual Celebration at the Lerner on Oct. 26. After that, the public can purchase tickets beginning on Nov. 1 at any of ADEC’s public locations, which includes our headquarters in Bristol and our Gaining Grounds Coffee Houses in Goshen and Middlebury.

Can you please post this as a Facebook event so I can remember to buy a ticket? Perhaps two events, one for the Lerner event and a seperate one for the ticket release on Nov 1?

You bet Amber! In fact the best way to see what we are doing here at ADEC is to watch our Facebook page. We usually post there first.

I’d like to buy a ticket and live in Cincinnati Ohio. Will there be online sales. If not, do you know which location would be closest to Cincinnati?
    Thanks
    David.

Hi, David! Sorry for the delay in response. We will not be able to offer online sales because of regulations regarding credit and debit cards with gambling, but people will be able to purchase tickets through the mail with a check.

Can you purchase a ticket over the phone with a debit card, or only in person at one of the ADEC location s?

Hi. Are tickets still available? If purchased by check, it is made out to whom, and mailed where? Thank you.

    Hi Michelle,

I was googling Airstream Sport Trailers and the raffle was part of the search results. I am so glad that I read about this and that tickets are still available! I am sending my entry first thing in the morning! What a wonderful design on the trailer! Beautiful!

Does the winner have to have it painted? I would want the rustic stainless without the paint scheme.

Hi, Bob! Thanks for your interest. The design is actually already applied to the Airstream, but we went with decals that can be removed if the lucky winner would rather go with the original look.
