Data Realty Aids in National Effort to Provide Jobs for Disabled Individuals

South Bend, IND. − Data Realty recognizes its integral role in the South Bend community as it serves local mid-sized businesses and their data needs. Data Realty furthers this commitment to community by hiring Brandon Krathwohl − a capable, hardworking individual who happens to be disabled. Krathwohl graduated from Riley High School in 2009 and began his career with Project Search where he was trained on the job and in the classroom at Memorial Hospital. He received excellent reviews and made a smooth transition to another local organization, ADEC, which provides job placements for disabled individuals. Data Realty was fortunate to meet Brandon through his involvement in these programs, and he began working at the data center in April 2012. But there is more, his employment not only contributed to Data Realty’s operations; but Krathwohl was also the first person hired through ADEC’s Steve Germani’s effort to secure 26 local jobs for 26 disabled individuals while training for the Chicago marathon.

Krathwohl works in Facilities Maintenance at Data Realty’s Data Center, where he cleans with a smile. Recently, he gained recognition for his hard work, and he commented, “I love my job. They gave me ’Employee of the Month,’ and it’s hanging on my bedroom wall!” Katy Gerring, ADEC’s Employment Consultant who works with Brandon, is also pleased with his position at Data Realty. “The best part of my job is being able to see the true happiness of the client as they begin their employment, and I can honestly say that I get to see that every day with Brandon. Being hired with the Data Realty team has really changed his life for the absolute best and they made him part of the DR family right from the beginning.”
