Forgetting to buy Christmas cards to send to friends and relatives until the week before the holiday is a stressful, panic-inducing fear that many of us try to avoid.

ADEC has your back.

Earlier this year, our clients were hard at work designing and creating holiday artwork with the potential to be used for ADEC’s annual Christmas cards. Then, we opened voting for our staff to choose the top six designs.

The most popular design (as tallied by votes) was created by Jennifer N. Her painting was turned into the official ADEC Christmas card, which is sent out each year to our friends in the community. If you’re interested in signing up for our mailing list, shoot us an email at [email protected] with your address.

A second painting, designed by Jeff Hershberger, was turned into ADEC’s official Christmas tree ornament.

To purchase your own pack of ADEC Christmas cards, or ornaments, stop by any one of our Day Service locations (excluding Bristol), or our administration building in Bristol. A pack of 12 cards is $15 and a pack of 24 is $25. Ornaments are $8. Supplies are limited, so buy yours today or you’ll be left out in the cold.

Check out the winning designs, and artist bios, below.

Amy Keerl: Amy is a creative artist who also has moves.  At ADEC, we dance on a regular basis. Amy loves to dance.  One of her favorite songs is “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus.

Jeff Hershberger: Jeff is one of the most delightful people you’ll ever meet.  Ask him anything and he will probably know the answer.  Jeff is full of facts and great with numbers, knowledge of historical people and dates.  If you tell him your age he will instantly tell you the year you were born along with anything significant that occurred on that date.

Jennifer Nunn: Jennifer is one of those people who is good at anything she puts her mind to.  She is a great artist and baker.  She loves sports and has quite a competitive side.  But her favorite thing to do is spend time with her mom.

John Pietrzak: John is a gentleman of few words.  He is always polite.  His personality shines when he works on his art.  He enjoys surprising his friends with his creations that he makes specially for them.

Jon Tyson: Jon is a  young man who delights in those around him and his daily activities. He enjoys art, painting and working with buttons. His joy is expressed in contagious laughter and a huge smile. Editor’s note: Due to a staff error, the artwork belonging to Jon was mistakenly attributed on this year’s cards. ADEC regrets the error.

Pat Snyder: Pat loves to have one-on-one attention.  She is very creative but likes to keep her ideas to herself.  We enjoy working with her by encouraging her to express her ideas.  It’s amazing to discover what ideas she has hidden behind that smile.

Ramona Miller: Ramona is a bit shy and doesn’t have a lot to say.  But her every day contributions are huge.  She loves to stay busy and every morning wants to know if we have “work” for her to do.
