I take it that since Franklin’s pic is shown the tickets are one hundred dollars ?

You are correct! We are updating the page to reflect the price more clearly. Let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!

Very deceptive. You will select a relatively small number of entries to choose a winner, but you will rake in money from thousands of people who enter thinking the odds of winning will be very favorable. Actually the odds will be based on the total number of tickets, not the smaller number you select. Very deceptive. Trump would approve but I do not.

Hi, Ginny. You are incorrect. We will sell no more than 1,952 tickets for this raffle. All tickets sold will be put in the raffle drum on April 13 and a ticket will be chosen a random. You are correct that the actual odds will be based on the total number of tickets sold. The odds will be no smaller than 1:1,952, but could be better than that if we do not sell out of tickets. All proceeds will go to our nonprofit, which supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in northern Indiana.

This is a great idea! I plan to buy a ticket and have Lafayette friends willing to support, but can you not make the buy easier? Printing your form and the need for a cashiers check is a cumbersome step. Could you please consider using PayPal? Accept a credit card? Thanks and good luck.

Because it is a raffle regulated by the Indiana State Gaming Commission we must follow state rules. It is considered a small game of chance and by law can only be paid for by check or cash. We wish we could accept online credit cards but it is illegal. Sorry!

I am so excited!! Just printed the ticket and my money order will be on its way tomorrow! Will be dreaming about the little airstream tonight.

Can you pay by personal check?

  6. loretta April 5, 2018 at 10:47 am - Reply

two questions – 1 did airstream donate the trailer or are you required to pay for it. and if you sell less than a certain number of tickets does it convert to a 50/50

    • Michelle Sokol April 5, 2018 at 10:51 am - Reply

Great questions, Loretta! The raffle is made possible by a partnership with Thor Industries (of which Airstream is a subsidiary). ADEC purchased the Airstream last year at a discount and we are in possession of the trailer currently. The drawing will go on as planned no matter the number of tickets! It will not convert to a 50/50. Hope this helps!

Is the entry fee considered a donation and tax deductible?

    • koscherj April 6, 2018 at 8:35 am - Reply

Per IRS pub 526 (page 6):” If you receive or expect to receive a financial or economic benefit as a result of making a contribution to a qualified organization, you can’t deduct the part of the contribution that represents the value of the benefit you receive.”

I’m glad your are helping people who need help. I do the same, I work for a non profit. Chances I can afford one of theses are slim so winning the RV would be nice but happy to help out as well.

    • Michelle Sokol April 7, 2018 at 12:13 pm - Reply

More than 1,600 tickets are still available, but the raffle will go on regardless of how many we sell. Drawing is at 1 p.m. Friday, April 13.

Are the mail order tickets unavailable now? I see the form says they have to be in by Monday, but Im in Arizona. No other way to get one?

    • koscherj April 7, 2018 at 4:59 pm - Reply

As long as we have it by Thursday we will put it in the drawing.

I am happy I have learned in time about the raffle. Perhaps it is “meant to be”. Interested in knowing who is doing the drawing. Thank you.

Just to double check. If I put my personal check in the mail Monday and you receive it by Thursday we’ll get in the raffle?
    Thanks!

    • koscherj April 7, 2018 at 10:17 pm - Reply

Yes! Any entries we receive by Thursday will be in the raffle. The drawing will be at 1 pm EST. The winner will be notified once we ensure their check cleared.

I’m so bummed as I thought there might be a way to participate with payment online. Is there a way for you to take a credit card payment so we can participate?

    • koscherj April 12, 2018 at 6:35 pm - Reply

We are so very sorry. Indiana state law prohibits us from taking credit card payments. Due to having to ensure payment clears we are no longer selling tickets for tomorrow’s drawing.
