ADEC believes that setting goals and tracking performance is a critical component of quality. A strong performance measurement and management system allows ADEC to look objectively at how well we are accomplishing our mission to proudly advocate for and serve people with developmental and intellectual disabilities so they live lives full of choice and possibility.
Each program and each service within ADEC — from our residential team to the human resources department — identify performance indicators that focus on:
- Effectiveness of services: What are the results of the program or the achievements of the individuals receiving services?
- Efficiency of services: Looks at cost-to-benefit ratios. How effective is the program at achieving results?
- Service access: There can be several barriers to accessing services at ADEC, from finances to attitudes. How well are ADEC programs serving target populations in need? What is the waiting time like?
- Satisfaction with service delivery: Are the people we serve satisfied with the services they receive?
ADEC compiles an Outcome Measurements report to hold ourselves accountable to our stakeholders — including our accrediting agencies, the people we serve and our Board of Directors.
Who better to report on ADEC’s outcomes than the people we serve? This year, ADEC compiled a video highlighting the outcomes from several of our programs. The video features individuals served by those programs as they discuss how ADEC services have changed their lives.
