Because primary caregivers need support, too.

Take a well-deserved break.

Caring for a loved one with a disability can be exhausting โ€” mentally and physically.

But finding trustworthy childcare is difficult for any parent, let alone for the parent of a child with a disability.

Fortunately, ADEC offers primary caregivers short-term relief by professional staff fully trained on each individual’s unique medical and personal needs.

Respite care is offered 3:30-5 p.m. Monday through Friday at ADEC’s downtown Elkhart location.

Quality respite care has been shown to help sustain the health and well-being of primary caregivers. Studies show it may also reduce the likelihood of divorce. So go ahead and schedule a manicure or some “me time” โ€” because ADEC has you covered.

Give us a break.

Without access to quality respite care, primary caregivers are forced to make a sacrifice. Sometimes it’s their job, and other times it’s their happiness.

By giving to ADEC, you can help us provide family members with a much-needed break.
