Skills and Training Center at The Hub

Some young adults with disabilities find themselves in an awkward gap: they have graduated or “aged out” of the public-school system, but they would still like to develop job readiness skills before pursuing their career. ADEC bridges that gap with our Skills and Training Center, located at The Hub in Elkhart, IN.

Participants work on skills ranging from filling out a job application and making a good first impression to workplace etiquette and negotiating a raise.

The Hub is ADEC’s community-based facility that houses both pre-vocational programs and also houses ADEC’s Employment Center, so that the same young adults can have assistance when they are ready to become employed.
