Direct Support Professionals:
Direct Support Professionals, DSPs, fulfill ADEC’s mission of helping individuals served live lives full of choice, possibility and respect on a daily basis. DSPs have the privilege to positively impact the lives of others by assisting with daily living, helping individuals reach goals, and involving them in the community. As a DSP at ADEC, you work in a home setting developing relationships with individuals served to help them grow and achieve their dreams such as running in the Chicago Marathon, attending a Notre Dame football game, or becoming an artist, all dreams ADEC DSPs made possible. No experience or certification required. Positions start at $10.25 for Day Services and $10.75/hour for Residential, retention bonus totaling $600 in the first year, annual increases, and performance incentives available. Certified Medical Assistant – St. Joe County:
Monitor the health care needs and medical records for individuals served in Community Living and assure compliance with Medicaid regulations. Take vitals, communicate with physicians, take individuals to medical appointments, and explain medical procedures to individuals and staff. Supervise the work and training of an assigned number of individuals who are participating in a work training program or are employed at an ADEC operated work site. Provide supervision, work coordination, and support services. Contribute to profitability, quality control and customer services. High school diploma or equivalent required. The Hospitality Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of Gaining Grounds, a coffee bar, and Art by ADEC retail sales. The Manager will report to the Director of Day Services & Social Enterprise. The Hospitality Manager will hire, train and evaluate all Gaining Grounds staff. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Attentive customer service, in-store marketing experience, and a passion for small business and quality products a must. Driver – Elkhart county:
The Route Driver will provide safe and courteous transportation for ADEC clients from their residences to and from day programs, ADEC Industries and other trips as assigned. This is a year-round, 30-hour position and benefit eligible. High school diploma or equivalent required. Current Class C CDL required, or ability to obtain upon hire. The Registered Nurse is responsible for monitoring the health care needs for individuals in a residential setting, counseling and training staff, and assuring compliance with health and Medicaid regulations. Meet and consult with interdisciplinary team and other health professionals, perform and follow up on quarterly physical assessments, supervise nursing staff, and train new and existing staff. Registered Nurse with an Indiana license required. Experience with developmentally disabled individuals in a residential setting preferred.
