Executive Technical Assistant
The Executive Technical Assistant ensures ADEC is conducting its programs and functions in full compliance with federal and state laws and regulations that pertain to our mission, as well as professional standards, certification requirements, best practices, agency policies and procedures and internal standards. Serve as technical assistant to the President/CEO, staff liaison to Board of Directors, provide technical assistance with projects, audits and reporting. A Bachelor’s degree in a field of Administration, Management, Social Work or other related field with an undergraduate degree, or other specific appropriate training, in a field related to developmental disabilities (i.e., Psychology, Social Work). At least five years’ experience in service provision to individuals with disabilities, two of which must have been in administrative capacity. Direct Support Professional
Direct Support Professionals, DSPs, fulfill ADEC’s mission of helping clients live lives full of choice, possibility and respect on a daily basis. DSPs have the privilege to positively impact the lives of others every day by assisting with daily living tasks, helping clients reach individual goals, and involving clients in the community. As a DSP at ADEC, you work in a home setting developing relationships with clients to help them grow and achieve their dreams such as running in the Chicago Marathon, attending a Notre Dame football game, or becoming an artist, all dreams ADEC DSPs made possible. No experience or certification required. Positions start at $10.00 for Day Services and $10.50/hour for Residential, retention bonus totaling $600 in the first year, annual increases, and performance incentives available. Earning potential of $12.50/hour for critical pick up shifts in Residential. Responsible as program manager for an assigned caseload.
