GROUP HOMES
Making it Possible for Individuals to Lead a Life of Their Own
Experiencing Real Community with a Family of Housemates and Staff
Individuals who live in one of ADEC’s group homes develop camaraderie and family relationships while experiencing a stable home environment and a wide range of social activities. ADEC operates 14 group homes in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties, each one part of a suburban neighborhood and home to eight adults.
Staff provide 24/7 support, including home-cooked meals, transportation, and assistance with medication and other personal care needs. While at group homes, staff work with individuals to teach them new skills to gain independence. Staff are also trained to provide socialization, positive behavior supports and academic training to individuals living in group homes.

Help others live independently with an assist from ADEC.
One of ADEC’s primary goals is independence, and our Supported Living and Supervised Group Living programs make it possible for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience choice in deciding where to live.
Your donation will help provide that choice and possibility to the individuals we serve.
