ADEC has earned a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest database of information on nonprofit organizations.
The Platinum Seal is the highest level offered by GuideStar, and fewer than 1 percent of all nonprofits earn the title. The seal recognizes that ADEC is a responsible and transparent organization and we are documenting the difference we are making.
Just as buyers and sellers go to Zillow to learn more about the housing market and foodies visit Yelp to learn about the best local eats, donors and foundations rely on GuideStar to gather information about the nonprofit organizations they support.
To reach the Platinum level, ADEC added extensive information to its nonprofit profile on GuideStar including in-depth financial information, qualitative information about goals, strategies and capabilities; and quantitative information about results and progress towards our mission.
“We strive for quality in our service, sustainability and transparency in both operational and fiscal management,” said Donna Belusar, ADEC’s CEO and president. “I am delighted that ADEC has achieved the Platinum Seal, which is a testament to the difference we are making every day in the lives of the people we serve.”
By investing the time necessary to receive the Platinum Seal, ADEC has demonstrated our commitment to transparency and to giving donors and funders meaningful data by which to evaluate us.
“The seal is a testimony to our commitment to our mission and our stakeholders,” Belusar said. “It is validation of all the work our team of 400 employees do every day to provide informed choice and possibility to the more than 1,260 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities we serve.”
