Before we know it, the confetti will be flying as we ring in 2018. Around here, that means the ADEC Ball is coming soon. One of the coolest things about this experience will be having our community dance the night away alongside the people we serve. Because once the music comes on, there’s no differences, just a bunch of people having the time of their life together.

There are two ways for you to join us at the ADEC Ball this year, and we are excited to share with you the sign-up dates so you can mark your calendars and be ready to join us for this fun night.

Be a Buddy

There will be 100 ADEC clients coming to the ball, each paired with a Buddy from the community. For a $50 sponsorship fee, you can be one of the 100 people paired with an ADEC client for the evening, and you’ll make it possible for our clients to enjoy having their hair styled, getting dolled up with makeup, riding a limo and wearing a fancy ball gown. And who knows? You might just walk away with a new friend.

You will be meet your Buddy after they’re dropped off by a limo and walk the paparazzi-filled red carpet, after which you’ll enjoy a formal sit-down dinner together before the Ball begins. And then it’s up to you to make sure your Buddy makes the most of their night at the Ball. Hit the dance floor, take silly pictures, play games together and enjoy special snacks.

There’s only 100 Buddy spots available, and they are going to go fast! Because who doesn’t want to spend the night dancing away with the people we serve?

Buddy tickets will go on sale on Friday, Jan. 12, and they’ll be $50 each – first come, first served. However, there’s a few stipulations you must commit to in order to become a Buddy.

— Attend a one-hour Buddy training session

— Attend the ADEC Ball on Friday, April 20, beginning with meeting your Buddy at 5:30 p.m. and staying until the Ball ends at 9 p.m.

— You acknowledge that if these stipulations are not fulfilled, you forfeit your ticket and it will go to the next person on the waiting list. No refunds will be given.

Join the Party

There will be 200 tickets available for sale to the public. This would be a great experience for your whole family to do together! There will be a DJ, a dance floor, party games, video game wall and a “candy” bar. Tickets are $100 apiece and go on sale Friday, Feb. 9.
