ADEC employs 350+ people and operates 21 locations in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties.
The vast majority of team ADEC work as direct support professionals (DSPs). DSPs work directly with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs help the people we serve accomplish their dreams, discover their true potential and lead lives full of informed choice and possibility. Some DSPs work in one of ADEC’s group homes or supported living settings, while others provide vocational and recreational opportunities at one of our day program locations.
Other essential ADEC positions include Recreational Therapists, Behavior Consultants, Employment Consultants, Drivers, Qualified Intellectual Developmental Professionals (QIDP), Skills Trainers, Nurses and a host of administrative positions.
Our team consists of students, parents, and retirees. Some came with many years of experience while some came with none at all. All came with the goal of making a difference in someone’s life and in their community.
