Some DSPs work with the individuals we serve in ADEC group homes or supported living settings, while other DSPs provide vocational and recreational opportunities at our six day service locations.

Direct Support Professional – $15-16 per hour based on experience

Direct Support Professionals, DSPs, fulfill ADEC’s mission of helping individuals served live lives full of choice, possibility and respect on a daily basis. DSPs have the privilege to positively impact the lives of others by assisting with daily living, helping individuals reach goals, and involving them in the community. As a DSP at ADEC, you work in a home setting developing relationships with individuals served to help them grow and achieve their dreams such as running in the Chicago Marathon, attending a Notre Dame football game, or becoming an artist, all dreams ADEC DSPs made possible.

Driver’s license, auto insurance and the ability to lift 60 pounds required. No experience or certification required.

DSP positions start at $15/hour for day service and residential positions. Both set and flexible schedules are available! Full time and part time opportunities available on all shifts.

Driver – $17-18 per hour based on experience

Our drivers are responsible for providing safe and courteous transportation to the individuals we serve while being able to communicate to clients, families, and deal with difficult behaviors on a route in the Elkhart County areas. Duties include being able to follow set route outside our group homes and supported living, maintain vehicle, add fuel, record daily odometer and individuals on bus each day, report any difficult behaviors to the appropriate program manager. Must have driver’s license (CDL preferred), ability to lift 60 pounds, and ability to bend, stretch, and kneel when needed. High school diploma or equivalent required. Music Therapist – $19-21 per hour based on experience

Music Therapist is responsible for restoring or rehabilitate to improve functioning and independence, as well as reducing or eliminate the effects of illness or disability through the provision of music therapy to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Some duties include Assessing each assigned client one on one, communication to internal, external, clients, and families, Medicaid wavier experience preferred, computer skills preferred, quarterly reporting with music therapist department, flexible schedule depending on school schedules, and must have a music therapist board certification and bachelor’s degree in field. Behavior Therapist – $19-21 per hour based on experience

Help individuals served improve quality of life, increase independence and have meaningful participation in the community by providing specified behavior management techniques to eliminate or manage behavioral concerns. Observe individuals served on caseload, develop individual behavior support plans and train the Individual Support Team on the plans. Training Nurse – $20-22 per hour based on experience Part Time, Days, Non-clinical

Come join a team where you can help to ensure the health, safety and well-being of individuals served! We are looking for a Part Time Training License Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team.

The trainer LPN or RN include training staff on client medical needs. Hours are Tuesday – Thursday, primarily Noon – 7pm. Our nurses love the rewarding feeling they get when they see the individuals we serve smile and appreciate the time they get to spend getting to know them.

This position will be the primary trainer for new and existing staff on Core A&B for medication administration, and food and nutrition. The Training Nurse will also assist with CPR and MANDT review classes, as well as tracking TB testing for the entire agency and tracking of PPE. Working with the Nursing team while not training, this position will assist with client assessments and build long-lasting relationships with employees and individuals served.

This position is primarily non-clinical and will mostly work in a training room. Must have a valid driver’s license, RN or LPN license with the state of IN, proof of auto insurance, pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
