ADEC is proud to announce our annual fundraiser. This year, July 2022, is our third year of “Picture Possibilities” – named that because it features photos and videos on social media, but also because it inspires those we serve, and reminds the community that everyone can be more than expected, just by picturing the possibility.
With this in mind, ADEC asks you to join us this year by taking part (once again or for the very first time) in our annual fundraiser, Picture Possibilities: a month-long virtual event that uses social media and your imagination to raise funds completely online. The event brings our communities together by offering a #picturepossibilities photo or video (your choice) challenge at the beginning of every week. Whether sharing your #cookingdisaster for our FOOD week, showing off a hilarious Snapchat filter for FUNNY week, sharing posts, challenging your friends, or donating, you would be helping to spread the word about ADEC and our mission to proudly advocate for and serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live meaningful lives of Choice & Possibility.
Set your posts to public and share them on all your social media, then challenge your friends to do the same, or to donate. More info can be found at: adecinc.com/picture or on ADEC’s Facebook Picture Possibilities Event. If you’d like to see all of the videos and pictures being posted, just search #picturepossibilities on Facebook!
All the funds raised go towards supporting all of ADEC’s valuable programs. Things like transportation, vocational training, summer camp and so many more wouldn’t be possible without your help. We thank you and so do those we serve.
Many Elkhart businesses are celebrating and supporting ADEC all month long by hosting a scavenger hunt throughout their downtown area. You can win gift baskets full of fun, donated items such as gift cards or hotel stays. Winners will be announced hourly at our month-end celebration taking place on the Elkhart Civic Plaza on Saturday, July 30th from 11—3pm. We will also have food trucks, Froggy 102.7, yard games, an art tent, and free balloon art and caricatures. We hope to see you there!
Please join ADEC in supporting our community members with IDD so they can reach their dreams and full potential.
