GROUP HOMES
Group Homes: Support, Community, & Independence
ADEC’s Group Home program provides a safe, supportive, and community-centered living environment for individuals with disabilities. Our homes provide the perfect balance of independence and assistance. Whether it’s developing new skills, forming lasting friendships, or engaging in community activities, our homes foster growth, independence, and confidence to provide a strong foundation for a meaningful life.
Individuals who reside in one of ADEC’s group homes develop camaraderie and form family-like relationships while experiencing a stable home environment and a diverse range of social activities. ADEC operates 14 group homes in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties, each located within a suburban neighborhood and housing eight adults.
Staff provide 24/7 support, including home-cooked meals, transportation, and assistance with medication and other personal care needs. While at group homes, staff work with individuals to teach them new skills to gain independence. Staff are also trained to provide socialization, positive behavior supports and academic training to individuals living in group homes.
