SUPPORTED LIVING

Helping Individuals Live Independently While Receiving the Support They Need

Experiencing a Life of Their Own by Living on Their Own

Often all that’s needed for an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live on his or her own is the support and oversight of a professional caregiver. Whether care is needed 24/7 or for only a few hours a day, ADEC’s Supported Living staff will work out a plan.

Individuals ADEC serves in Supported Living typically live in an apartment with one or two roommates. Supported Living staff help supervise the daily tasks required for independent living, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and bill paying. Staff also provide transportation when needed to appointments, jobs, grocery shopping and social outings, keeping clients connected to their communities.

Help others live independently with an assist from ADEC.

One of ADEC’s primary goals is independence, and our Supported Living and Supervised Group Living programs make it possible for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience choice in deciding where to live.

Your donation will help provide that choice and possibility to the individuals we serve.
