We are excited to share an update on the renovation of our new building on Middleton Run Road, a project that marks a significant milestone for ADEC.
As an organization dedicated to advocating for and serving individuals with disabilities, this new space will enable us to further our mission and enhance our impact within the community. Our work is driven by the conviction that our community is strong when everyone can participate and contribute. This new building is a testament to our commitment to this mission, as it will provide a state-of-the-art, inclusive space to house many of our programs and services.
Several key ADEC programs will be relocating to this new site, including:
SUMMER CAMP
Provides a fun and supportive environment for children and young adults to express themselves, build friendships, and maintain interpersonal skills developed during the school year.
ELKHART DAY PROGRAM
Aims to provide informed choices for everyone as individuals discover their natural abilities and interests while working towards personal goals.
THERAPY SERVICES
Offer personalized therapeutic support to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the individuals we serve through behavior management, recreational therapies, and music therapies.
SKILLS & TRAINING PROGRAM
Assists individuals in discovering and utilizing their abilities in the workplace, at home, and within the community through interactive classroom instruction and activities.
The journey to renovate this building has been one of meticulous planning and dedication. Our team has invested countless hours to ensure that the space will meet the diverse needs of our programs and the individuals we serve. Every detail is being considered to create an environment that is both welcoming and functional for everyone.
DJ Construction has officially begun the renovation process. Their expertise and commitment to quality will ensure that the building is accessible and inclusive, tailored to the specific needs of our programs. The renovation includes a full remodel to create sensory-friendly areas and adaptable environments that will cater to the diverse needs of each program and the individuals we serve.
We invite you to follow along with our progress through the initial stages of construction. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this exciting journey to create a new, inclusive environment for ADEC.
