On February 13th, members of The Arc of Indiana and Self-Advocates of Indiana, along with some of ADEC’s Self-Advocates, once again participated in The Arc’s yearly ‘Have a Heart for the Arc’ day at the Indiana State House!
During February’s monthly meeting of ADEC’s Self-Advocates, individuals created heartfelt and homemade valentines for Indiana Government Officials! Each year, a group of ADEC’s Self-Advocates take a trip to the Indiana State House to hand-deliver these special valentines and share their voices!
While at the State House, not only were they able to deliver their valentines, but they were able to listen to and speak with state leaders like Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith, Indiana Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner, and Attorney General Todd Rokita.
