On September 23rd, ADEC proudly welcomed community members, donors, families, and staff to our Outdoor Programming Space Open House at ADEC’s Resource Center. This milestone event marked the first official opportunity for the public to experience this incredible new addition for the individuals we serve.

The celebration began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the official launch of the space. Guests then enjoyed light refreshments and guided tours, where they had the chance to see firsthand how this space will foster connection, engagement, and joy for their neighbors with disabilities.

At ADEC, we believe in creating spaces that foster connection, engagement, and joy for the individuals we serve. That’s why our vision for the outdoor programming space was just that- a space thoughtfully designed to be both engaging and accessible for individuals with disabilities.

The new outdoor programming space is more than just a playground; it’s a fully inclusive environment crafted with accessibility, safety, and recreation in mind. The space features an ADA-compliant playground, a basketball and multi-use pad, a concrete walking path, a sensory garden, and secure fencing.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this accomplishment. Most importantly, we want to recognize the profound impact of the donors who made this project possible. Your generosity has transformed a vision into a reality that will benefit our community for years to come.

The fundraising goal for this project is $850,000, and thanks to the outpouring of community support, we are now just $30,000 away from reaching that goal! With your help, we can cross the fundraising finish line and ensure that this space continues to serve as a hub of inclusion, growth, and joy.

You can make an impact today by making a donation to help us reach this fundraising milestone. Every gift brings us one step closer to expanding opportunities for those we serve!
