Each year, Lippert hosts a Pickle for a Purpose event in support of a selected organization.

This year, ADEC was chosen! Held at Pickle Haus, players and spectators came together for this much-anticipated fundraiser.

Players, Grab Your Paddles!

Before play began, Kevin Stuedabaker, organizer of the event and Purchasing Agent at Lippert, gave a heartwarming speech about the importance of the event. With watery eyes he shared, “All of this support is heartwarming.” ADEC leaders also had the opportunity to speak before the games began. Chris Kingsley, ADEC President and CEO, expressed immense gratitude to Lippert for choosing ADEC this year, saying, “At a time when funding is limited, this support means a lot.”

For the first hour, individuals from our Day Programs went head-to-head, each teaming up with a Lippert employee for a friendly game of pickleball. People laughed and cheered each other on as both first-time and experienced players took to the courts. While some nerves were high before play began, every ADEC individual who attended the event had a blast playing!

Creating opportunities for community connection and inclusion is at the heart of ADEC’s mission, and this fundraiser was an incredible way to bring people together.

More Than Just Pickleball

Along with playing pickleball, ADEC hosted an Art by ADEC table featuring art created by the individuals we serve. In addition, Lippert held an auction featuring paintings from Art by ADEC, where every piece sold, plus monetary donations, and so many physical items were donated to aid our programming.

We are incredibly grateful to have been selected for this year’s event. We asked Kevin why Lippert decided to choose our nonprofit this year. He said, “I’ve been a part of the Tim Tebow Foundation and the annual Night to Shine event, and I wanted to find a way to have that same community involvement here.” He went on to say, “ADEC is such a great organization with a great cause, and they do so much for the community. I wanted to be able to give back.”

Lippert has always made efforts to support ADEC and the individuals we serve. Their support has created opportunities for people with disabilities to get involved in the community and participate in events like this. We are extremely appreciative of Lippert for taking the extra steps to ensure that ADEC and the people we serve feel included and welcomed.

Thank you, Lippert!
