Volunteer with ADEC. Share your passion. Change a life.

Do you enjoy painting? Playing music? Or maybe reading is your cup of tea. You can put your interests and hobbies to good use right here in the Michiana area! As ADEC works to advocate for and empower people with disabilities to live a life filled with choice and possibility, your partnership makes the difference. Come lead an exercise group, sit and talk with our senior clients, play a game of cards or help a child with homework. Each time you invest your time in the lives of the people we serve at ADEC, it widens each person’s sphere of influence and deepens their quality of life.

Here are just a few options.

Spend time interacting with the people ADEC serves during the day at any of the nonprofit’s five day service locations around Elkhart and St. Joseph counties.

Meet clients and staff at activity location ready to participate, assist and, most of all, have fun with clients. This opportunity is only available on weekday evenings.

ADEC has a 70-player basketball team that plays each Wednesday (excluding holidays) from October to March in Bristol. Organize a team and play with a fun and competitive group.

Assist with a bimonthly sibling support group. This takes place on Saturdays and consists of special activities and a shared lunch.

Adults and children spend time at ADEC’s Elkhart location on weekdays from 3:00 to 5:30. Come to assist in activities, help with homework or lead games for kids.
