ADEC proudly announces the acquisition of a new building that will significantly enhance its ability to serve the community. The newly purchased facility in Elkhart at 1205 Middleton Run Rd. will serve as a central hub for many of ADEC’s essential services. This expansion marks a significant milestone in ADEC’s ongoing commitment to provide support and resources for individuals with disabilities and their families.

“We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of this new building, which will serve as a cornerstone for our mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Chris Kingsley, CEO of ADEC. “This strategic investment reflects our dedication to expanding our reach and improving the quality of life for those we serve.”

The new building will house a range of services offered by ADEC, including the Elkhart Day Program, Skills and Training program, Therapy services, ADEC’s Summer Camp program, and several administrative offices. Its spacious and modern design will provide a welcoming environment conducive to learning, growth, and collaboration. In addition to expanding service offerings, the new facility will also enable ADEC to accommodate a growing number of individuals seeking support and assistance.

Kingsley shared, “We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, regardless of their abilities. This new building represents our continued commitment to championing our core values (A life of their own, Dignity, Employment, and Community) to best serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

ADEC will begin renovations on the newly acquired building this May 2024, with plans to begin program services in early 2025. ADEC looks forward to hosting a public open house once the building is complete to share the positive impact this will have on the lives of individuals with disabilities. Further information about the open house will be communicated at a later date.
