After spending quality time volunteering at ADEC’s Middlebury Day Program, Greencroft resident Dick, formed incredible bonds with our clients. “I volunteer with ADEC at least twice a week because I just love these people. They are so loving, inviting, and open. I really do enjoy them” Dick said. The Greencroft community is conveniently located directly behind our Middlebury Day Program, making connections easy to grow. You could practically feel the anticipation in the air as our clients had been eagerly counting down the days to this spectacular event. awaited the day they would remember for weeks to come.
On August 10, the party kicked off in style as we walked over to the Greencroft community, where an enthusiastic crowd of Greencroft residents were ready to join in the festivities. And what better way to begin an outdoor celebration than by singing the national anthem? As the anthem’s last note echoed, the games commenced, and oh my, did the fun factor shoot through the roof! With the sun shining down and the crowd cheering each other on, our clients and Greencroft residents dove headfirst into an abundance of outdoor games. Tic-tac-toe battles, cornhole showdowns, shuffleboard extravaganzas, and bubbles galore.
At the end of the day, the smiles on everyone’s faces were brighter than ever. A day of outdoor games, laughter, and heartwarming community spirit will be etched in our memories for years to come. The Middlebury Day Program’s party with Greencroft was more than just an event; it was a testament to the power of compassion, connection, and, of course, a whole lot of fun!
